This list was set up to answer those who ask for examples of top-tier consumer-facing web site (top-tier meaning: household name and/or millions of users) that use Java to power their web processing. Please note that this is not intended to be a complete list of Java-powered web sites (which would be impossible as there are literally millions of Java-powered web sites), but only to show a handful of high-profile ones.
